Hello, good afternoon! Okay. That’s all for today. See you tomorrow!
How are you?
That’s great. Our lesson for today is Present Continuous Tense. Do you know the Present Continuous Tense? Okay. We use Present Continuous to describe an action tht is happening now. You are doing it now. Let’s see the pattern for present continuous. We have the Subject + Be verb ( am is are) + Verb ing + Object I is for am. He/She/It is for is. We/You/They/ is for are. Let’s have an example. She is reading a book. Could you give another example? Very good. The next pattern is the negative form Subject + Be verb ( am is are) + not + Verb ing + Object For example: She is not reading a book. Could you give another example? Very good.
Finally, let’s have the question form.
Be verb ( am is are) + Subject + Verb ing + Object? Let’s have an example. Is she reading a book? The answer is Yes, she is or No, she isn’t.
Let’s have an activity. I will show you a
picture. It is in a classroom setting and then you will describe the actions. I will ask: What is he/she doing? Then you will answer according to the picture. Are you ready? What is he doing? Very good. He is writing on the notebook. Next one. What is she doing? That’s great. She is reading a book. Another one. What is she doing? Excellent. She is raising her hand. Another one. What is the teacher doing? That’s correct. The teacher is standing. Good job students. Do you have any questions?
