Lesson 7 名词性从句-1 Noun Clause

Lesson Objective
本课主要介绍复合句中的名词性从句，包括名词性从句概述，宾语从句和表语
从句的概念，用法及针对性练习。

Teaching Steps:
I．概诉
名词性从句包括主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句和同位语从句
• When we will start is not clear.
• Mrs. Black won’t believe that her son has become a thief.
• My idea is that we should do it right now.
• I had no idea that you were her friend.

名词性从句由连接词、连接代词和连接副词引导，为陈述句语序。

1. 连接词在从句中不做成分。
I think that he’ll be all right in a few days.

2. 连接代词在从句中作主语、表语、定语或宾语。
Who will go has not been decided yet.

3. 连接副词在从句中作状语。
The question is whether we should ask them for help.

II．宾语从句 Object Clause

宾语从句就是在复合句中作宾语的名词性从句, 通常放在主句谓语动词或介词
之后。

(1)． I think (that) he’ll be all right in a few days.

(2)． Do you know who they are waiting for?
(3)． Pay attention to what the teacher said.
(4) . We came to where he lived.

１.形式宾语
it 常可以放在动词 think, find, consider, believe, feel, make 等后
作为形式宾语, 真正的宾语-that 从句则放在句尾.

We thought it strange that Xiao Wang did not come yesterday.

He has made it clear that he will not give in.

2. Doubt 的宾语从句
doubt 的肯定形式后接 whether/if 从句，否定和疑问形式后接 that 从句。

我怀疑他是否会说英语。
I doubt whether/ if he can speak English.

我毫不怀疑，他会说英语。
I don’t doubt that he can speak.

3. Be sure 的从句
be sure 的肯定和疑问形式后面接 that 从句，否定形式后面接 whether/if 从句。

• 我肯定他能做好。
I’m sure that he can do it well.

• 你确定他是一位教师吗？
Are you sure that he is a teacher?

• 我不能肯定消息是否属实。
I’m not sure whether/if the news is true.

４. 否定的转移
若主语谓语动词 think, consider, suppose, believe, expect, guess, imagine
等后的宾语从句若含有否定意义,一般要把否定词转移到主句谓语上,从句谓语
用肯定式。

我认为这件衣服不适合你穿。
I don’t think this dress fits you well.

III. 表语从句 Predicative Clause

表语从句是在复合句中作表语的名词性从句, 放在系动词之后,一般结构是
“主语+系动词+表语从句”

• 这就是我们得不到人民支持的原因。
This is why we can’t get the support of the people.

• 问题是我们能否在如此短的时间内作好准备.
The question is whether we can make good preparation in such a short
time.

 Fill the Sentences

1. 系动词 Copula
A．表示特征和状态：be, look,, sound, taste, smell, seem, appear

B．表示由一类状态转为另一类状态：get, become, grow, turn, fall, go, come,

run.

C．表示某种状态的：remain, keep, prove, rest, continue, stay 等.

固定结构：The reason is that +从句。

It/This/That is because 从句。

2. If/whether 区别

3. whether 和 if 小结
1. 引导宾语从句位于及物动词后 whether 和 if 可互换；
2. 引导宾语从句位于介词后只能用 whether, 与 or not 连用时常用 whether
3. 引导宾语从句位于句首时用 whether
4. 引导表语、主语或同位语从句只用 whether
5. 和不定式连用时只用 whether.
