Raising Awareness of Lung Cancer and Pancreatic Cancer in November
November is dedicated to raising awareness about lung cancer and pancreatic cancer and the critical role that
screenings play in detecting these cancers early. Regular screenings can help identify abnormalities before
symptoms appear. By encouraging individuals to undergo these screenings, we can enhance the chances of early
intervention, improve survival rates and ultimately make a significant impact on fighting these diseases. View the
Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center’s guidelines for cancer screenings and if you are seeking an appointment with a

To highlight the importance of early detection, preventive cancers screenings are worth three (3) credits towards

Resources and Support for Behavioral Health


Your overall health includes both your physical and mental well-being, and Jefferson’s medical plan includes
resources and tools to support both. Independence Administrators offers a variety of mental health options so you
can choose the ones that fit your needs and preferences, including in-person or virtual appointments with a provider
and even self-guided tools you can use on your own. For more information on resources, log in at
myibxtpabenefits.com, select “Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder” from the Benefits menu at the top.

Medicare Made Easy—with ALEX Medicare


ALEX Medicare supports you (and your loved ones) by breaking down your Medicare options through digestible
modules, including information on Medicare eligibility, enrollment dates, coverage options and costs. It is important
to note that Jefferson employees (and their spouses) who are 65 and older are not required to enroll in Medicare.

Wellness Credit Program: April 1, 2023 – March 31, 2024


Part-time and full-time employees enrolled in a Jefferson medical plan can earn a $15 wellness credit per pay
period the following plan year by completing the program requirements from April 1, 2023—March 31, 2024. Program
requirements include physician visit(s) and additional activities/credits of your choice from any of the wellbeing
categories for a total of five (5) credits. To access your wellness portal, log in or register at myibxtpabenefits.com.
Click “Health & Well-Being,” then “Earn Rewards.”

Lower Your Federal Student Loan Payments with Savi


Even though payments have resumed, it’s not too late to take action on your student loans. If you’re not on an
Income-Driven Repayment Plan already, or if your payment is unaffordable, you can use Savi’s personalized
repayment calculator to discover options for lowering your payment. There’s a small annual fee of $60 to take
advantage of Savi, but it may end up saving you hundreds of dollars in the long run! To find out if Savi is right for
