The impact of AI Chat GPT and Peer Learning on High School Student’s Academic
Performance

Introduction:
Learning has undergone significant adjustments for students worldwide. One of the
problems that worries students, parents, and teacher is Academic performance.

 Academic performance is one of the problems that worries students, parents,

and teacher (Berger et al., 2021). These include grades, honors, awards,
competitive results and experiences that demonstrate the academic
engagement in student life.

Since we all know that academic performance is one of the problem. We have thought
that we need some methods to help the student to improve their grades and one of the
method is Peer Learning and since we are all Technology Digital Literate (Definition:
According to John Terra (2023)Technological digital literacy involves proficiency in
using digital devices (smartphones, laptops, tablets) to access the Internet to discover,
create, review, evaluate, and use information via different digital platforms) they are
chance to search kinds of Artificial Intelligence learning (such as ChatGPT, Quillbot
and etc.). So We come up or would like to find if there has impact of the Peer learning
and AI to the respondents also to find if the AI is a Friend or Threat in learning a certain
subject.

We came up this questions:

Is there an impact of Peer Learning and Artificial Intelligence Learning (e.g.,
such as ChatGPT) in their Academic Performance
 Artificial Intelligence (AI), Jake Frankenfield (2023) said that AI refers to the
imitation of human intelligence by software-coded heuristics process.
 Artificial Intelligence Generative Pre-trained Transformers is a neural network
machine learning model trained using internet data to generate any type of
text.
 Peer learning is an educational process where students interact with their
peers who share an interest in the subject and learn both with and from each
other (Boud, Cohen, & Sampson, 2001 as cited by Williamson S. & Paulsen-
Becejac L., 2018).
