I would hereby like to draw your kind attention for Josy Gruijters.
I have known Josy for a couple of years. I have been her drama- and song-interpretation teacher
at the Master of Music at the Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts, and have shared the
stage with her on the Dutch national tour of Spring Awakening. These have been two great
experiences.
As a student, Josy is incredibly eager to learn, and faces the most di cult of challenges with
great determination and willpower. She isn’t afraid of anything and gives her all, which makes it so
that she works very hard and develops rapidly. Both in class- as well as in rehearsal-scenarios,
this is very pleasant. Josy is able to connect with text and the character she’s playing. In doing so,
she shows high authenticity. Because she gives her everything, and has a nice energy, she excels
in both comedy and drama. Both lyrically as well as musically. Her analysis of text is on point. Her
singing voice is more than beautiful.
In short: a woman with great talent and many possibilities. I hope you can help realise her wish of
further unfolding these possibilities.
