of the operating instructions.
3.1. General
The interior of Liebert Network Power Switch I , when it is powered, has
hazardous AC voltage present inside. The control logic, which is supplied by
low voltage, has low power. Part of this type of equipment is powered by +/-
5 V, +/- 15 V & +30 V logic power supplies. These are referenced to
potentials other than earth zero. So high voltages with respect to earth exist
on some circuit boards in it.
3.2 Safety Warning
Ensure somebody is available to isolate the electricity supply if necessary.
Stand on an approved rubber insulating mat when working on the
equipment.
WARNING ! : Some rubber mats contain a carbon base pigment and are
not suitable!
q Remove watches, rings, earrings and other metal jeweleries and any loose
material like pens, tools or metal objects from pocket before working on the
equipment.
q Do not touch printed circuit boards. High voltages exist, there is an electric
shock hazard.
q Turn off power before working on electric or electronic circuit, except when
absolutely necessary. Consider all wire and terminals to be live until proven
otherwise by a safe test method.
q Turn off power to equipment before checking or replacing fuses. Locate and
correct the cause of a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker before replacing
the fuse or resetting the breaker.
q Always check the electrical rating of equipment you use, and be sure you
use that equipment within its ratings.
q Turn the Liebert Network Power Switch I off and isolate the Liebert
Network Power Switch I before cleaning. Use only a soft cloth, never use
liquid or aerosol cleaners. Keep the front and rear vents free of dust
accumulation that could restrict airflow, required for cooling. This
equipment contains several circuit that are energized with high voltage.
Only test equipment designated for troubleshooting should be used. This is
particularly applicable for oscilloscopes.
• Immediate action is essential. Severe electric shock may affect heart action
and breathing.
Transport the Liebert Network Power Switch I on the pallet in the original
packaging, using a suitable lifting truck, to the storage or installation site

4.5 Access to the Area
1. Plan the route such a way that the Liebert Network Power Switch I will
pass through
all elevations, corners and doorways, smoothly.
2. Ensure adequate service maintenance space min 1000 mm is
provided from front & back side, and 600 mm from both sides of the
equipment.
4.6 Ventilation
All ventilation apertures must be kept free and clean. These systems can work
in a continuous environmental within 0 to 40°C temperature range, although,
ideally the ambient temperature should be below 25 °C.
The heat can be removed from the equipment room by a forced cooling
ventilation system or, alternatively, an air conditioning system.
The required air changes per hour will depend on the system rating, the heat
loss and the cooling air temperature.
4.7 Installation Altitude
The maximum altitude without de-rating of the Liebert Network Power Switch I
should be 1000 meter above sea level. Consult factory for the de-rating factor
above 1000 meter altitude.
2 Keep box on the plain surface such that THE ARROW ON BOX
SHOULD POINT VERTICALLY UPWARDS.
3 If the unit is packed in wooden container, remove buttons from all sides,
EXCEPT from BOTTOM SIDE. Remove these bolts to remove the
