Abstract from Oda Bultum University: With the development of technology, students now spend a
significant portion of their study time on social media instead of addressing academic matters. This
study’s goal was to ascertain how social media affects students’ reading habits at Ethiopia’s Oda Butum
University. Cross-sectional data from primary and secondary sources were gathered using both
qualitative and quantitative research methods in this study, which followed a descriptive research
approach. In addition to administering FGD to further elucidate on cases that were unclear throughout
the data collecting period from respondents, the researchers collected primary data from 280 students
in order to address the research topics. The results of the data collected from students in this study
indicated that the majority of students chose to utilize Facebook. Bayleyegn, & Buta, (2019).

The purpose of this study was to ascertain how third- and fourth-year BEED students’ study habits were
impacted by their social networking practices. Thirty respondents participated in the study, which used a
descriptive correlational research approach. The outcome demonstrates how clearly BEED third- and
fourth-year students used social media in terms of information acquisition, netiquette, and time
management. According to the study’s findings, the majority of BEED students engaged in activities that
aided in their academic performance. The evaluation demonstrates how social networking has a
