Activity Description: The Can O’ Your Town was an activity where I had to decorate a
can label with artifacts of the home town I grew up in/am most familiar with.

What you accomplished or learned: I learned how to section off areas to add pictures,
text, and I can now make my slide shows aesthetically pleasing.

National Education Technology Standards for Students (NETS-S) Addressed:

1.3 Knowledge Constructor: “Students critically curate a variety of resources using
digital tools to construct knowledge, produce creative artifacts and make meaningful
learning experiences for themselves and others.”

Application of Skills Learned in the Future: Since I want to teach History in the
future, I can apply these same skills in my students by having them do this assignment
but with a historical timeline of their choosing. This allows for a fun and interactive
project.
