Assertion/Reason Question
(a) If both assertion and reason are true and reason is the correct explanation of assertion.
(b) If both assertion and reason are true and reason is not the correct explanation of assertion
(c) If assertion is true and reason is false.
(d) If both assertion and reason are false.
8. Assertion: Electromagnetic theory of light failed to explain photoelectric effect.
Reason: Photoelectric effect can only be explained by assuming particle nature of light.
9. Assertion: The focal length of the convex mirror will increase, if the mirror is placed in water.

(b) What will be the change in the energy of the emitted electrons if the intensity of light with same
wavelength is doubled?
(c) If the same light falls on another surface of work function. What will be the energy of emitted
electrons?
