DIFFERENT LOCAL

TECHNIQUES IN
CONTEMPORARY PHILIPPINE
ART
TECHNIQUE- is the manner and
ability with which an artist,
writer, dancer, athlete, or the
like employs the technical skills
of a particular art or field of
endeavor.
WOOD CARVING- is a form of
woodworking by means of a cutting tool
(knife) in one hand or a chisel by two hands
or with one hand on a chisel and one hand
on a mallet, resulting in a wooden figure or
figurine, or in the sculptural ornamentation
of a wooden object.
PAETE LAGUNA – a place known for best
skilled artisan in wood carving.

Arroyo in March 15, 2005.
- Paete came from Tagalog word paet,
which means chisel.
WEAVING- is the textile art in
which two distinct sets of
yarns or threads - called the
warp and weft - are interlaced
with each other at right angles
to form a fabric or cloth.
SILK SCREEN PRINTING- Screen
printing is a printing technique
where a mesh is used to transfer ink
onto a substrate, except in areas
made impermeable to the ink by a
blocking stencil.
ANALOGUE PHOTOGRAPHY-
Analogue photography, also known as
film photography, is a term usually
applied to photography that uses
chemical processes to capture an
image, typically on paper, film or a hard
plate.
FILM PRODUCTION- is the
process by which a motion picture is
produced. Filmmaking involves a
number of complex and discrete
stages, beginning with an initial
story, idea, or commission.
MUSIC PRODUCTION- is the
process by which music is
created, captured, manipulated,
and preserved so that it can be
distributed and enjoyed.
INDUSTRIAL DESIGN- is a process
of design applied to physical products that are
to be manufactured by mass production. It is
the creative act of determining and defining a
product's form and features, which takes place
in advance of the manufacture or production of
the product.
ROBOTICS- is a branch of
engineering and computer science
that involves the conception,
design, manufacture and operation
of robots.
