CONTEMPORARY ART- An Art produced by artists living today.

ARTISTIC SKILLS- These are the abilities that are possessed by artists who operate within a fine art
capacity. A medium is defined as the material, or the substance out of which a work is made.
SCULPTURE- Form of Visual arts that operates in three dimensions. Uses metal, wood, stone, clay and glass.
Categorize as “three-dimensional” arts because they occupy space and have volume.

PAINTERS Uses pigments; it may be watercolor, oil, tempera, textile paint, acrylic, ink, etc

PHOTOGRAPHY Art of taking Picture. Uses the cinematographic camera to record and put together production
design, sound engineering, performance, and screenplay.

FILM MAKER In digital photography and film, the images can be assimilated into the computer, thus eliminating
the need for celluloid or negatives, processing chemicals, or print.

CALLIGRAPHY The art of writing letters in a manner that it looks visually appealing

ARCHTECTURE- It is a structure that is meant to be used as a shelter; its art relies on the design and purpose
of the structure. The art and technique of designing and building

THEATER Form- of art that refers to the staging and execution of a production like drama, opera,
festivals.

MUSIC Art form that appeals to the sense of hearing, composed by combining notes into harmony.

APPROPRIATION Existing artwork that are borrowed to produce another art work.

SPACE Art form that is performed and positioned in a specific space such as public places.

HYBRIDITY Usage of unconventional materials, mixing of unlikely materials to produce an artwork.

TECHNOLOGY ART The use of mass production and the manipulation of the virtual world.

NATIONAL ARTIST Filipino Citizen who has been given the rank and title in recognition of his or her
significant contribution to the development of Philippine arts and letters.

SARIMANOK This figure represents a fowl wings, feathered tail and a head.

PERSONAL This function of art is to express experiences and emotions, and to highlight individuality.

SOCIAL This refers to the function of arts for the purpose of communication, raising awareness
regarding social issues, and for celebration.

PHYSICAL This function of arts refers to the satisfaction of individual needs for unique expression.

TECHNIQUE the artists’ way to use and manipulate materials to achieve the desired formal effect, and
communicate the desired concept and this is according to his or her personal style it may be modern, Neoclassic,
etc.
COLLAGE it is made from on assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole.
DECOLLAGE it is the opposite of collage; instead of an image is being built up all or parts of existing images, it is
created by cutting, treating away or otherwise removing pieces of an original image. To become unstuck”.

GRAFFITTI Writing or drawings that have been scribed, scratched, or painted illicitly on a wall or other surface,
often in a public space.

LAND ART Earth works, or earth arts is an art movement in which landscape and the work of art are inextricably
linked.

MIXED MEDIA It refers to a work of visual art that combines various traditionally distinct visual art.

FROTTAGE It is the technique of rubbing with crayon on a piece of paper which has been placed over an object or
an image.

EGGSHELL MOSAIC An artistic technique that uses tiny parts of eggshell to create a whole image or object.

DIRECTOR The team's overall supervisor.

ACTORS AND PERFORMERS They must follow the director's or choreographer's instructions.

CHOREOGRAPHER Who creates dance compositions and plans and arranges dance movements and patterns
for dances

ART DIRECTOR Supervises, or coordinates designs, illustrations, and layouts to be used in printed matter.

PRODUCTION This is the time to show off the planned production and teamwork of all members.
