This artwork called “The Leaf Bird” made from indigenous materials (leaves and tingting) created a

work of art directly influenced by nature. The artist use “tingting” as part of the body inside of the bird.
The

artist represents it as the “strength and power” of the community and the “leaves” used as a skin/feathers

of the bird. The artist represent it as “trust, honor, wisdom and freedom” of the people. The meaning of
the

artwork is “Peace” (kapayapaan) or “Silence” (katahimikan), because of its colors. Overall the bird
represent

as good luck and prosperity, love and an abundance of wealth and knowledge as the culture of the
locality.
