Caroline: Wow, you write fast, Darcy.

Mr. Darcy: No, you are mistaken. I write actually write slow.

Caroline: How many letters you must have occasion to write, Darcy? Letter of business too,
how odious I should think them.

Mr. Darcy: it is fortunate then, that they fall on my responsibility instead of yours.

Caroline – Please tell your sister that I want to see her.

Mr. Darcy – I’ve already did, Caroline.

Caroline: I do really adore her. I at joy with her beautiful little design for a table.

Mr. Darcy: Perhaps you will give me leave to defer your joy till I write again? I have not room
enough to do them justice.

Mr. Bingley: Well, I think it’s amazing you young ladies have patience to be so accomplished.

Caroline: What do you mean Charles?

Mr. Bingley: You women, paint tables and play piano and embroider cushions. (laugh) I never
heard of a lady but people say she is accomplished. (tingin kay Elizabeth)

Mr. Darcy: The word is indeed applied to liberally. I can’t boast of knowing more than half a
dozen woman in all my acquaintance that are truly accomplished.

Caroline: Nor I, to be sure.

Eizabeth: Oh my God. You must comprehend a great deal in the idea.

Mr. Darcy: I do

Caroline: Absolutely.

She must have a great knowledge of music, singing, drawing and dancing and the modern
languages, to deserve the word. And something in her air and manner of walking

Mr. Darcy: and, of course, she must improve her mind by extensive reading.

Elizabeth: (sinarado yung libro) I’m no longer surprised if you only know six accomplished
women, I rather wonder now at your knowing any.
Mr. Darcy: (humarap kay elizabeth) are you so severe on your own sex?

Elizabeth: I never saw such a woman. She would certainly be a fearsome thing to behold.

Mr. Bingley: Hahahaha (turo kay elizabeth habang tumatawa)

Caroline: Elizabeth, let us roam around the room (sabay lapit)

(tumayo si elizabeth at si caroline ay kinuwa yung left hand para ilagay sa right hand niya at nag
simula na umikot ikot sa loob ng sala.)

Caroline: It is refreshing, right? after sitting so long in one attitude?

Elizabeth: and it is a small kind of accomplishment, I suppose.

Caroline: why don’t you join us, Darcy?

Mr. Darcy: you can only have two motives, Caroline, and I would interfere with either.

Caroline: What does he mean?

Elizabeth: Our surest way of disappointing him will be to ask him nothing about it.

Caroline: But do tell us, Darcy.

Mr. Darcy: either you are in each other’s confidence and you have secret affairs to discuss, or
you are conscious that your figures appear to the greatest advantage by walking.

If the first, I should get in your way.

If the second, I can admire you much better from here.

Caroline: Shocking! How shall we punish him for such a speech?

(bingley launging)

Elizabeth: Well, we could always laugh at him

Caroline: oh, no. We should not tease Darcy.

Elizabeth: are you too proud, Darcy?

And would you consider pride a fault or a virtue? (habang lumalapit kay mr darcy)
Mr. Darcy: I couldn’t say that.

Elizabeth: Because we’re doing our best to find fault in you.

Mr. Darcy: Maybe it’s that find it hard to forgive the follies and vices of others, or their offences
against me. (habang nakatitig kay Elizabeth)

My good opinion, once lost, is lost forever.

(ngumiti si elizabeth kay mr darcy )

Elizabeth: oh, dear, i cannot tease you about that. What shame, for I dearly love to laugh .

(sumingit si Caroline)

Caroline: a family trait, I think.

(sabay tingin kila elizabeth at darcy at lumingon sa kabila habang tumatawa at tinatakpan yung
bibig)

(at umalis sa harapan si Elizabeth at bumalik sa upuan at ganun rin si caroline habang si mr
darcy ay nahinto sa pagsusulat .
