Master Chef Activity 4


A Healthy and Sustainable Meal

Your final cooking challenge is to post the meal you created for the written assignment. On
behalf of myself and your peers, thank you to all who elevated the standards of home cooking
throughout the semester.

Here is one of my recent meals that could work for this assignment: Ribollita with tahdig rice
(very international and pairs so well together but please don’t judge my tahdig rice –I’ve yet to
master the technique).

Note: The Master Chef component of this course is an easy way to obtain a full 10% toward your final grade in the course. You are
getting grades for eating –an activity you do every day, even on bad days. If you don’t meet the deadline for posting your meal you
will not be granted an extension. Many students leave these activities to the last possible day. Waiting until the last day to submit
your work carries the risk of unpredictable events interfering with your ability to shop/cook and post your meal. Th e reasons
include, but not limited to, power outages, unexpected company, urgent family matters, general malaise. You are therefore
strongly encouraged to complete this activity sooner rather than later.
