Araw-Araw

Araw-Araw tells the story of Prince, a 21-year-old young adult who falls in love with a guy
named Clint who can’t remember vividly whom he met or spent time with every day. With that,
a feeling of longingness drives them to work each day to find each other, even when the
moments they have spent together have faded in the memory of Clint. Despite their situation,
Prince chooses to stay, to cherish every moment and make a memory that will last in Clint’s
heart. The more they look for each other, the more the reality that loving someone who has short-
term memory loss takes a toll, leaving Prince and Clint to face the hardest decision either has
ever had to make.

Di mo inakalang siya ang magiging dahilan sa labis mong kasiyahan

The film starts with Clint sitting on a bench while making a drawing of someone, in
a place he loves to go to every day. Meanwhile, a guy named Prince who loves photography
accidentally takes a photo of Clint on the bench. Clint notices Prince taking him a picture
and reacts shyly. So, Prince approaches and showed the pictures to him and Clint
immediately appreciated the pictures. Then, Prince initiated a conversation, they talks
about their hobbies and just talked as if they knew each other that much.

That day leaves a mark on them.

Scene 2: Red shirt

 Filming Clint noticing Prince taking him a picture and reacts shyly. So, Prince

Isang sandaling marining ang mga kwentong puno ng kasiyahan

Ito’y Mga sandali, na para bang walang katulad

Ang sarap ulit-ulitin, kay gandang balik-balikan
Pero, minsan may mga taong nakatadhanang, panandalian lamang sa buhay mo
Kaya’t sa iyong paglisan, ako’y napatanong, “iyon na nga ba ang huli”
The next day, Clint went back to the place where he usually going to. Unexpectedly, they
met again but, Clint doesn’t remember at all. So, Prince tells everything that they had just
done the last day, but Clint can’t still remember. Then, he showed the pictures of Clint
again and that made him realize. Prince found out that Clint has short-term memory
loss. So, they spent the day while doing random things.

Prince drives him home, and Clint tells him it was a perfect day. Prince asked him to meet
at the same place for the next day, however, Clint hesitates and tells him that not every day
is going to be like this. He stops him and tells him to end today on a good note. They took a
video together and tells him to keep that in mind.

Scene 4: black and yellow orange (dye)

 With voice over:
Minsan, ang akala natin, di tayo pwedeng umasa
Umasang, makapiling muli ang mga taong kailanma’y di ka huhusgahan
Kaya’t ako’y nangungulila sa mga sandaling kapiling ka

Pagtatagpo nga naman muli ng ating mga landas

Nasilayan kang muli, ngunit, mga landas mo’y nag iba
Kaya’t puno ng pagtataka ang naipinta sa aking mukha
Gayunpaman, aking napagtantong ika’y may’ panandaliang pagkawala ng memorya
Ibang-iba pala ang mundo mo.

Hindi mo man lubos maaalala kung pano kita nakitang masaya

Pero, lahat ng mga sandali’y mananatiling buhay sa aking puso’t isipan

 The next day, Clint went back to the place where he usually going to. Unexpectedly, they
met again but, Clint doesn’t remember at all. So, Prince tells everything that they had just
done the last day, but Clint can’t still remember. Then, he showed the pictures of Clint

Every day, was the same. They spent the day with laughter and do what makes them
happy.

As time goes by, Prince realizes that spending time with Clint despite his situation is
something that makes him feel a feeling of happiness and a sort of attachment. So, he
confessed his feelings to Clint, he tells how every moment urges him to stay and cherish the
day and make a good memory out of it that will last. Clint hesitates and tells him that
things will not work the way it should be. Because even a single memory, he can’t vividly
tell what it’s like.

Scene 5: blue and white shirt

 The next day, Prince arrived first at the same place and waited for so long. He thought
they would never see each other again. Until he saw a familiar face. He excitedly went to
Clint and tells him; he was the guy he spent time with the other day and instantly tell him
the video they took. Surprisingly, Clint believes that it was him in the video but doesn’t
remember what they did. (Full bright)
 Hence, that doesn’t bother them, and just spent the day enjoyably (while gadula sila or

May rason ang lahat nang ‘yon

 Siguro masarap kasing tumambay sa bawat kuwento mo

Masuwerte ako na, nakilala kita at dahil don, may pagkakataon ako makasama ka araw-

 As time goes by, Prince realizes that spending time with Clint despite his situation is
something that makes him feel a feeling of happiness and a sort of attachment. So, he
confessed his feelings to Clint, he tells how every moment urges him to stay and cherish
the day and make a good memory out of it that will last. Clint hesitates and tells him that
things will not work the way it should be. Because even a single memory, he can’t
vividly tell what it’s like.

Things goes differently, they were not able to meet each other often. But Prince, went to the
place every day and longed for the presence of Clint. Until they no longer see each other.

The moments they spent together leave a remarkable memory for Prince.

One day, Clint went to the place he usually goes with Prince. And, something keeps
running through his mind. There’s someone whom he thinks that once he has been with
and the memories they shared together. Everything seems to be flashing back as if they
were just happening at the moment. And that made him confused, and looks for the truth.

Finally, they see each other in the same place while Prince taking pictures and thought,
that things may go back to the way it seems. He saw Clint making a portrait of someone
else and it looks like him. Clint wonders why the portrait looks like Prince. They look to
each other, though Clint is not sure why, he feels a connection. Prince looks at him with
confusion in His eyes and they just parted ways.

Scene 8: White shirt

 With voice over:
 A month ago, Clint went to the place he usually goes with Prince. Because, something
keeps running through his mind. There’s someone whom he thinks that once he has been
with and the memories they shared together. Everything seems to be flashing back as if
they were just happening at the moment. And that made him confused, and looks for the
truth. (Full bright).

 With background music/instrumental

 With voice over:

Nibalik si clint sa bench ug nagdrawing kay feel nya na meet na niya si prince.
Then, niabot si prince pero si clint lang ang naka kita nya feel niya nga naa silay
connection.

They are just passing by to each other, then si prince kay niadto kay jovee.

That ends the story of Prince and Clint. It was not a story with a happy ending, well, stories don’t
have to be ended with such. But, the most important thing is that they have spent and made a
memory together that cannot be replaced with something else. We are left to infer Clint will
recover his memories and finally be together with Prince, in love.
