1. THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO DICSCUSS THE MEDIUM VOLTAGE CONTROL CENTER OF
THE PLANT AND ITS COMPONENTS. THE REPORT WAS LED BY R REBECOY- UNIT 2
TURBINEGENERATOR CONTROL.

2. THE FOLLOWING ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE REPORT.

Specifically, the participant will learn the following:

Equipment functions and importance
System operational procedure

3. Knowing basic motor controller, terms, and function.

4. Air Circuit Breaker-is an electrical device used to provide over current and short circuit
protection to electric circuits

5. Molded Case Circuit Breaker-a device uses electromechanical trip units that may be fixed
or interchangeable. Provide protection by combining a temperature sensitive device with
current sensitive electromagnetic device.

6. Dry Type Transformer- a transformer which magnetic circuit and windings are not
immersed in oil.

7. Variable Frequency Drive- is a type of adjustable speed drive used in electromechanical

drive system to control AC motor speed and torque by varying motor input frequency
and voltage.

8. Motor Soft starter- is a device used AC electrical motors to temporarily reduce the load
and torque in the power train and electric current surge of the motor during start-up.

9. Rack-in/ Rack-out Procedure was discussed.

10. The meeting ended with some questions and answers and sharing of experiences.
