The magnetic field source come from magnet, earth and electric current.

Magnetic Field of Earth

The Earth's magnetic field is commonly described in terms of two components, often referred to
as the horizontal component (BH) and the vertical component (BV).

B=⃗
The Earth’s net magnetic field (B) can be expressed as the vector ⃗ BH + ⃗
BV

The magnitude of B is given by B =√ B 2H + B2V

B is the total magnetic field strength at a specific location

BH is the horizontal component of the magnetic field

Bv is the vertical component of the magnetic field

Magnetic Fields Produced by Currents

 A Long, Straight Wire
The magnetic field generated by a current in a long straight wire occurs whenever there is a flow
of electric charge through the wire, the magnetic field forms concentric circles around the wire.
Right-Hand Rule: Curl the fingers of the right hand into the shape of a
half-circle. Point the thumb in the direction of the conventional current I,
and the tips of the fingers will point in the direction of the magnetic field B.

The formula for the magnetic field (B) generated by a long straight current-carrying wire at a
I
perpendicular distance (r) from the wire is given by : B = µ0
2 πr
B is the magnetic field strength
µ0 is the permeability of free space (µ0 = 4π × 10-7 T×m/A )
I is the current flowing through the wire
r or d is the perpendicular distance from the wire
I
If the wire is surrounded by a material with a different permeability ( µr) : B = µ0µr
2 πr
µr is the relative permeability of the material
 A loop of wire
The magnetic field generated by a current in a long straight wire occurs whenever there is a flow
of electric charge through the wire. At the center of the loop, the magnetic field lines are
perpendicular to the plane of the loop, and their direction can be determined using the right-hand
rule.
Right-Hand Rule: Curl the fingers of the right hand in the direction of I, your thumb points in
the direction of B.

The formula for the magnetic field (B) at the center of a circular loop of wire carrying current
I
can be expressed as: B = µ0
2R

B is the magnetic field strength at the center of the loop

µ0 is the permeability of free space (µ0 = 4π × 10-7 T×m/A )

I is the current flowing through the loop

R is the radius of the circular loop
