OBJECTIVES

Concept: Pediatric History and Physical Assessment, Ballard Scoring, and Newborn Screening
Area of Exposure: NEO LMS
Date of Exposure: November 25-26, 2022
Clinical Instructor: Ms. Ma. Frenie Tamaño

General Objective:
After 2 days of Skills Laboratory, I will be able to develop different structures exposure
that will help in my cognitive, psychomotor, affective and intellectual abilities in relation
towards the concept of Pediatric History and Physical Assessment, Ballard Scoring, and
Newborn Screening that will provide the necessary practice of health understanding.

Specific Objectives: Within 8 hours, I will be able to:

Cognitive:
1. Identify the various practices, definitions, purposes, concepts and general
considerations, that are required for understanding the Pediatric History and Physical
Assessment, Ballard Scoring, and Newborn Screening.
2. Appraise the concept in the nursing procedure on a necessary and procedural basis, as
well as specify terms in processes such as assessing, accommodating, and caring for the
patient.
3. Enumerate the multiple complex factors that are involved in caring for the Pediatric
History and Physical Assessment, and Newborn Screening.
4. Interpret the notion of comprehending the concepts of Pediatric History and Physical
Assessment, Ballard Scoring, and Newborn Screening in a precise method of
understanding, actions, and purpose.
5. Generate a plan of care towards the patient attentively to establish particular
requirements, concerns, and self-care abilities, as well as the extent of assistance
essential to the Pediatric History and Physical Assessment, Ballard Scoring, and Newborn
Screening.

Psychomotor:
1. Proceed to highlight of capabilities of skills towards assessing the concept and the
process of care towards the prepared situation environment with exposure to a client.
2. Operate in a constructive manner, how these procedures handle and applied as well as
administered properly in medical environment as an application based work.

3. Measure knowledge retention for practices in a real setting in terms as to how concept
management is used as well as practice demonstration.
4. Perform skillfully the right practice of aseptic methods in analyzing the information of
data collection and plan development, as well as actual practice applied.
5. Revise the underlying perception in actual environment and situation of the different
cares towards the concepts of Pediatric History and Physical Assessment, Ballard
Scoring, and Newborn Screening.

Affective:
1. Share defined principles of data gathering of the given concept, psychological and social
aspects are applied while engaging with a client for cooperative nursing health care.
2. Communicate effectively and with respect to the clinical instructors during the breakout
session.
3. Choose the appropriate reaction, management, and even provision for oneself, the
choice of receptivity to various appropriate sentiments and practices.
4. Display a good grasp of other person’s information, points of view, and ideas that differ
from one’s own, acknowledge and enable each underlying perspective to be analyzed.
5. Discusses the particular information gained and future goals in the discussions, as well
as the lessons that were not fully understood.
