Challenge 4: Lots of Competitor


There’s a lots of shopping platforms that have been used by people around the world.
Shopee is one of the shopping platforms that most of people buys their things. In Malaysia,
Shopee’s top competitor are Lazada, Carousell, Zalora and Amazon. Shopee is the most
recent shopping platform compared to Lazada that was founded in 2012.
Shopee have to go through a hardship due to the global environment that have been
hit the world recently. The amount of mankind that have surfing the shopping platform
during the pandemic was insane that make Shopee out of control with the amounts of order
that they received. Due to that, Shopee have make a lot of error in order to fulfill the
customer needs which has opened opportunities other shipping platform including Lazada.
Customer change their shopping platform due to the error that have been occurred in Shopee.
This situation has been a huge impact to Shopee due the lots of competitors.

Solution 4: Working with Brands


Shopee has adopted a two-pronged strategy. While it has been working to bring
brands, big and small, homegrown and multinational onto its platform, it has also been
working to devise country-specific campaigns, depending on each country's lockdown state.
To sustain consumers' interest in ecommerce, Shopee has been onboarding dozens of
brands onto its platform, from across Southeast Asia and the world, to sustain growth. To
make them stick with Shopee, the ecommerce platform has pieced together a short
onboarding process, offers help with supply-chain issues and has offered seller support
packages (education and marketing funds) including aid such as vouchers and free shipping
to help businesses weather the crisis.
