3 Warehouse

- Shopee's warehouse service is responsible for running the entire process from when a buyer searches
for a product category on Shopee until they receive the item. In addition, this department also analyzes
and monitors KPIs across the entire region, finding out and evaluating the causes when this operating
system encounters problems

- officially putting into operation its third warehouse at Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park, Cu Chi, Ho Chi
Minh City. As a new and modern logistics platform, Tan Phu warehouse Trung has the largest area
compared to the two warehouses previously in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

- To optimize time, Shopee had to be very detailed in planning each area in the entire process, from
classifying goods for internal transportation to storage and packaging. On occasions when large
promotional programs are deployed, the entire process is required to apply automation at the highest
level.

2.2.3 Fulfillment center

Shopee's fulfillment centers serve as the operational nerve center for their dynamic e-commerce
platform. These centers are meticulously designed hubs of efficiency, employing cutting-edge
technologies to manage vast inventories with precision.

. Fulfilled by Shopee (FBS) is a one-stop, all-inclusive fulfillment service for Shopee sellers. Sellers may
optimize their fulfillment process and improve consumer experience by leveraging Shopee's warehouse
and order fulfillment services, which include durable packing, speedy shipment, and easy return/refund
processing.
2.3 Relationships within the chain

Within the Shopee ecosystem, a dynamic interplay exists between upstream and downstream
components, creating a comprehensive chain of relationships.

- Upstream (Suppliers): In Shopee's upstream relationships, the focus is on sellers or merchants who
provide the products available on the platform. Shopee collaborates with a diverse range of sellers,
including individual entrepreneurs, small businesses, and larger retailers.

- Downstream (Customers): On the downstream side, Shopee interacts with a wide array of customers
who use the platform to make purchases. This includes individual consumers, businesses, and bulk
buyers.

Social responsibility

In terms of social responsibility, Shopee has implemented initiatives to promote fair labor practices,
ethical sourcing, and community engagement

Shopee also plays a role in fostering community development by supporting local businesses, artisans,
and entrepreneurs. Through various programs and features, the platform empowers small businesses
and promotes economic inclusivity.
Annually, on September 9 festivities Shopee has created “Shopee Bayanihan” to raise funding for the
company’s partner humanitarian organizations like the Red Cross and medical institutions like the Lung
Center of the Philippines and PGH Medical Foundation.
On the environmental front, Shopee has taken steps to minimize its ecological footprint. By reduce
packaging waste and promoting sustainable practices among sellers.
Additionally, Shopee engages in partnerships and campaigns to raise awareness about environmental
issues. The platform may collaborate with environmental organizations to drive initiatives that address
climate change, biodiversity conservation, or other relevant issues.
In August, 2022 Shopee introduced Shop Green. This encourage users to connect with more eco-
friendly sellers, learn more about sustainable living and habits, and motivate others to take action for the
environment.
