Hi I am elsa and this is my presentation about Photography

Photography is the art of capturing light with a camera, whether through a digital sensor or film,
to create an image. The word itself breaks down into its Greek components: “photo”
(meaning light) and “graphy” (meaning drawing). Essentially, photography can be translated
as “drawing with light.”

Before there were modern cameras, there was the camera obscura, which means 'dark chamber.'
It was officially invented over 700-800 years ago, but even before that, people experimented
with the idea of photography. The camera obscura was a box with a hole in one end, where light
came in and hit a mirror. This made a picture on the back of the box of whatever was in front of
the hole. Unfortunately, this picture would disappear when the light was gone. Since then, a lot
of pioneers continued to experiment with the idea of camera which leads to the advancement of
photographic history from crude photos to the high-tech mini computers found in today's DSLRs
and smartphones.

Among the different kind of cameras we have in today’s generation, we will present only 3 of
them as an example.

1. DSLR (or digital single lens reflex) cameras take photos to the next level of image
quality. This more “serious” type of camera is best known for delivering remarkably
sharp and spectacular images. It produces beautiful background bokeh, and even high-
resolution videos with the help of their advanced sensors, manual settings, and wide
range of interchangeable lenses.
2. Film cameras may seem outdated in our new digital world, but they are by no means
obsolete (meaning they are still being produced in the market). There are many types of
film cameras and they provide more artistic output than ever before. Much to the delight
of film photography enthusiasts, there are still classic 35mm film cameras being sold
today with improved bodies and enhanced capabilities.
3. Digital cinema cameras are specialized cameras designed specifically for professional
filmmaking and video production. Unlike consumer-grade cameras, digital cinema
cameras are built with larger sensors, higher resolutions, and more advanced features to
capture cinematic footage with exceptional quality. One of the main features of digital
cinema cameras is their ability to capture video in high resolutions such as 4K or even
8K, which allows for greater detail and clarity in the final image.

Importance
Photography holds significant importance in today’s world. It allows people to capture
memories, tell stories, and document history. Through images, we can relive moments, share
experiences, and communicate emotions. Photography empowers artists to express themselves
and helps businesses convey their messages effectively.

In the digital era, visuals play a crucial role in grabbing attention and influencing decisions.
Professional photographers are in high demand across various industries, further emphasizing the
value of this skill. As a universal language, photography transcends borders and barriers, uniting
people from all walks of life.
