What is the constitution? What is its significance in your life as a student?

The constitution is like a rule book for a country; this is where the current and working
laws were based as they were forged by the legislatives. If we are to be specific for a country, the
Philippines has a constitution formed way back years ago to rule, keep the government working,
and maintain sanity within the country. For example, the data privacy act was crafted to provide
protection for the private and personal information of the citizens of the country. It is based on
the contents of the constitution and promotes the protection and security of its citizens.

Just like any country, the constitution acts as guides and regulations for the succeeding
laws to be passed and executed, as well as on how the country will work based on the
government's roles and designations.

As a student, it is important to be aware of this kind of information, specifically the

constitution, for us to be aware of the basis for the laws being enacted and proposed. As the
future hope of the country, it is important to be knowledgeable about this, for we are the future
lawmakers, professionals, public servants, or even just normal citizens that will keep on keeping
the peace and life of the government and of the country in the near future. Being well-versed in
this kind of matter is really essential. By understanding the constitution, we are not just
appreciating the foundation of our society but are actively engaged in shaping our lives and the
lives of the next generation.
