A. Be Ready

1. What is in your mind when you hear “competition”?

Answer : Competition for victory, competition is also a means to prove

themselves. But there will also be losses.

2. What do you need to do before facing “competition”?

Answer : Prepare yourself as best you can, both mentally and physically, so that
you are mature enough to take part in the competition.

3. What will become your challenges?

Answer : The challenge sometimes is yourself. We must be able to conquer and

master the abilities within ourselves as well as in sharpening our
mentality before facing the competition. and also by accepting your
weaknesses and starting to hone your strengths.

4. What will become your problems?

Answer : When we have prepared ourselves as well as possible long before

participating in the competition, and it turns out that the result is still
losing, sometimes it will be very difficult for us to accept it. However,
 indeed in a competition there will be wins and losses, so we must be
able to accept the defeat and take it as a lesson to be better in the
future.

B. Reading

1. What does this statement mean “competition is very close to people’s

everyday life?”

Answer : The mean is, in our daily life there is always competition without us
knowing it. For example, when we are going to an event, we will
definitely try to look as good as possible so that we don't look less
good than others, also when we try to get the best value from
others. It's all without us realizing it, including competition, because
we try and compete to show ourselves to be the best.

2. Why does the word ‘competition’ scare some people?

Answer : Because in competition, people are competing to prove themselves.

To win a competition, it takes careful effort to develop abilities, but
sometimes there are competitors who without us knowing have
more abilities above us, and that can make us afraid of losing. It is
this defeat that sometimes makes people feel afraid when they hear
the competition, no one likes defeat. There are people who feel that
losing is a very embarrassing thing, but also if we don't follow the
competition, then we will never know how big our abilities are.

3. Mention three examples of competitions in everyday life!

Answer : Examples of competition in everyday life are competing to get the

best score in class, trying to look cooler than others, and trying to
win a match.

4. What are the reasons parents send their children to the best school?

Answer : Because they want their children to get an adequate education,

starting from good teaching staff and quality school friends to
compete for the highest score. Because if we are accustomed to
competing with smart people since school, then we will be smarter
 too, because to be able to win in a competition, it takes hard work.
That's why parents want their children to study in the best schools.

5. When does a competition happen?

Answer : When we try to prove ourselves better than others, and have the
ambition to be the best.

6. What is an open competition? Give examples.

Answer : An open competition is a competition where the participants are

aware that they are competing and are trying to win, and also other
parties as spectators who provide support to the participants. An
example is a running competition, where participants scramble to
reach the fastest finish line in order to win the competition.

7. What is a hidden competition? Give examples.

Answer : Hidden competition is where people secretly try to perform better,

or show that their abilities are better than others without realizing it.
An example is when a beverage brand sponsors an activity and
prints the logo of the brand to make it visible to the audience.

Motivation We can all become great entrepreneurs/businessmen if we
are willing to try to rise from our worst situations. Don't
assume that only big people, rich people are able to have a
lot of capital to build a business but small people like us
can if accompanied by perseverance with imaginations to
move to build our imagination to create be real without
thinking of failure.
Rules Participants will compete with larger hordes of sharks that
have been around much longer and many other baby sharks
that are on the same boat as you. More than just a deadly
idea, it takes skill, practice, ambition and a lot of patience
to proceed. You have to find a way to get consumers to
come to you.
Winning Criteria - able to compete with the great businessmen who took part
in the game
 - able to attract sharks or investors who are in front of them
through promotions that are brought.
- the one who gets the most money or investment is the
best.
Atmosphere The atmosphere in the game shark tank is not so stressful,
the atmosphere is quite relaxed because it requires a
focused mind while playing, peaceful because at the end of
the game they will be asked to reflect on interactive
activities.

obtained approval or permission from the authorities to
operate as a manager investment, specifically managing
assets.

have bright minds in investing capital
