What a morning!! This was going to be the worst day ever! It was already going badly and
Leonora hadn’t even made it to breakfast!! To begin with, she got up thirty minutes late. She needed to wash
her hair but there was no time for that! Life was so unfair! Leonora decided she would just pull it back into a
ponytail, but then the rubber band popped. She looked frantically for another one but none could be found.
Her mother began yelling for her to come to breakfast. Leonora groaned and began looking for something to
wear. She pulled out her favorite pair of jeans relieved to at least like what she was going to wear. As she
began to zip her jeans the zipper broke apart. Leonora stood there staring in horror. She threw the jeans onto
her bed and looked for her second favorite pair. She couldn’t find them anywhere. Her mother yelled once
again for Leonora to come to breakfast, the volume reaching all the way to Leonora’s room, and holding a note
of irritation. Leonora had to go now. Mothers were so demanding! She quickly pulled on an old pair of sweat
