Subject: Intimation of the requirements for automatic computerized weigh bridges and CC TV
Camera systems (clause 3.7 and 8.9).
Dear Sir,

This letter is to inform you of the requirements for automatic computerized weigh bridges and
CC TV camera systems at the development of fishery harbour at Madhwad dist. gir somnath,
package-1. Marine works project.

Automatic Computerized Weigh Bridges

 You are required to provide automatic computerized weigh bridges of desired capacity
at your own cost at the locations approved by the Engineer-In-Charge (EIC).

 You must obtain EIC's approval for the automatic computerized weigh bridge to be
installed at the site.

 All weighment of stones must be done using the automatic computerized weigh bridges
only. Manual handwritten weighment by the operator is not permitted.

 The automatic computerized weigh bridge shall generate a receipt with the following
information:

o Number

o Date

o Time

o Loaded weight of the vehicle carrying the stones of specific sizes (i.e., 1to10kg,
20to100kg, 100to300kg,0.5to1T,2to4T,tetrapods)

o Empty weight of vehicle

o RTO number of vehicle

 The automatic computerized weigh bridge slip showing the above details must be
conveyed to all concerned parties, including GMB site supervision
engineers, EIC, representative of contractor, and other authorities, through an approved
mode of telecommunication system at the time of weighment of the empty vehicle.

 You must provide a sufficient number of automatic computerized weigh bridges to cope
with the progress of the work and maintain them during the course of execution.

 The loaded vehicle receipts and final weighment receipts showing the net weight of
specific rubble stone must be printed in three copies and submitted to the EIC at the site
of the work.

 At the end of each working day, you must submit emails covering all the above details to
EIC, all concerned site engineers, and the contractor or their representative.

 All weighment records must be made available at the weighbridge when requested by
the EIC.

 The cross-section of the breakwater as per the working drawing must be strictly
maintained and cross-checked during the course of execution as well as when the final
cross-section is achieved.

 The unit of measurement and payment shall be M.T. on the basis of automatic
computerized weighbridge generated records.

CC TV Camera System

 You must install a sufficient number of CC TV camera systems duly approved by EIC at
the weigh bridge site.

 The CC TV camera system must show the entry of the vehicle, front and back, both
sides, top, and exit.

 Video movie clips covering all details of 7 (seven) days up to prescribed working hours
must be saved in soft copy in DVD format and submitted to the EIC in two sets for record
purposes.

Calibration and Verification

 The automatic computerized weigh bridges must be calibrated through a competent

calibration authority.

 The calibration must be updated from time to time as per government norms.

 You must make necessary arrangements for the verification of the weight of the rubble
stone at the weighbridge site for EIC and site engineers..
