In pairs of your choosing, you will be assigned either a terrestrial biome (tundra, taiga, temperate deciduous forest, desert,
temperate grassland, savannah, tropical rainforest, or alpine mountain) or an aquatic biome (marine, freshwater ponds & lakes,
freshwater rivers & streams, wetland estuaries, or wetland marshes & swamps). You must research your biome by searching Google,
or by visiting www.blueplanetbiomes.org or www.ducksters.com. Your research needs to include the following information: 1.
Characteristics about your biome (weather & location); 2. Plants in your biome; 3. Animals in your biome; and 4. A fun fact about
your biome. Between you and your partner, each person is responsible for 2 of the 4 items. I can grade the content portion of the
infographic together, or I can grade your parts of the infographic individually. You will use Canva to create an aesthetically pleasing
and appropriate infographic that is in color and has no spelling or grammatical errors.
Each group of 4 (one terrestrial biome pair and one aquatic biome pair) will create a presentation to compare/contrast those biomes
in terms of their characteristics, plants, animals, and fun facts. Each group must choose between 3 presentation tools (Canva, Padlet,
and Voice Thread) and justify its use of the tool during its presentation about its findings to the class. Additionally, each group will
need to answer one of the following critical thinking questions to the class during its presentation: 1. What human activities are
harmful to your biomes? 2. How can humans protect your biomes? 3. Why is it important to study and understand biomes?
