Others
choose friends who are similar to themselves. Compare the advantages of each
choice. Which one do you prefer? Use specific reasons to support your answer.

ANSWER:

Some people prefer to have friends who are different from themselves whereas
others are interested in having friends who are similar to themselves. Both choices
have their own advantages and it ultimately comes down to personal preference.
From my point of view, I adore the first view because of several reasons and this
essay is going to compare the advantages of each preference.

There are some people being acquainting a friend having no similarity to them
because of various benefits. The first advantage of this choice is that they can
study an enormous number of new things from citizens having disparate cultures,
lifestyles and ideas. As a result, they are able to not only expand their knowledge
but also their insights. The second advantage is that when having a conversation
with a people completely dissimilar from themselves, they can learn the way they
social skills such as communication skills, time-managing skills, et cetera. More
importantly, they are able to learn how to deal with the issues as well as face up to
difficult situations from people with numerous experiences and knowledge. The
third advantage is to develop their imagination much more creatively through
accessing a large number of people. This is very helpful for people, particularly the
students because they usually have to come up with various ideas when they take
the writing test.

The others think that having friends who are comparable to themselves is much
more interesting for a huge number of advantages. The first benefit is that they
usually have a sense of belonging when having time all together. For instance, if
they are the introverts, they won’t feel lonely or depressed for the reason that they
have friends being capable of understanding them. The second benefit of this
thought is that they will be encouraged by their friends when they have difficulties
in their lives. According to a recent research, residents having friends similar to
them usually have an ability to solve with the problems much easier.

To sum up, both choices of choosing friends who are different from oneself and
choosing friends who are similar to oneself are advantageous and helpful.
However, I have a belief that the first statement is much more beneficial than the
second one.
