and below you can see a brief of our findings.
Around 79% of the shoppers, belongs to the age group of Less than 40 years which are considered as
young shoppers. Around 83% have a job and earn a salary between the range of MUR 10,000 to
MUR 30,000 and above.

At the same time, from the survey carried out, the shopper’s preferred supermarkets are Winners,
Jumbo, Intermart and Super U respectively and around 84% of shoppers travel to their preferred
supermarket by Car (Chart 5).

The Survey also questioned consumers about their amount spent on supermarket. The below Chart
shows the average amount spent on supermarket on a monthly basis. Around 80% of the
interviewee prefer to pay their bills by credit cards. Survey quantifies that 97% of shoppers are user
friendly of Technologies but survey shows that 77% of shoppers prefer the traditional shopping over
online shopping.
