#TIP 1: WRITE ALL YOUR IDEA DOWN PAPER (BRAINSTORM).
By taking what’s already in your head and putting it to paper, you are able to see connections and links between ideas more clearly. This structure serves as a foundation for your paper.
#TIP2: WRITE YOUR THESIS STATEMENT.
- Your thesis statement will have two parts. The first part states the topic, and the second part states the point of the essay. - Topic sentences also need to relate back to the thesis of the essay. A topic sentence essentially tells readers what the rest of the paragraph is about. All sentences after it have to give more information about that sentence, prove it by offering facts about it, or describe it in more detail. - Controlling idea Contains your opinion about the topic. It shows what direction you are going to take in writing about the topic. For example: 1. Topic sentence: “There are many reasons why pollution in ABC Town is the worst in the world.” the controlling idea is "many reasons." 2. Topic sentence: “Cats are better than dogs for many reasons. the controlling idea is “better than” - Transition words: + Additive Transitions (Từ chuyển bổ sung): Also In addition Likewise

#TIP 3: CREATE A DIAGRAM OR AN OUTLINE Don't jumble too many ideas in each paragraph or the reader may become confused. Ensure you have transitions between paragraphs so the reader understands how the paper flows from one idea to the next. Fill in supporting facts from your research under each paragraph. Make sure each paragraph ties back to your thesis and creates a cohesive, understandable essay.
#TIP 4: WRITE THE ESSAY
Revise for clarity, consistency, and structure. Support your thesis adequately with the information in your paragraphs. Each paragraph should have its own topic sentence. This is the most important sentence in the paragraph that tells readers what the rest of the paragraph will be about. Make sure everything flows together. As you move through the essay, transition words will be paramount. Transition words are the glue that connects every paragraph together and prevents the essay from sounding disjointed. Reread your introduction and conclusion. Will the reader walk away knowing exactly what your paper was about?
