ONE DAY WITH

IBM
Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the Coursera Partner conference where
the theme was, Learners First: Beyond the Campus Walls — all geared towards
collectively building a future where anyone, anywhere can transform their life through
access to the world’s best education. The conference brought together some of the
brightest minds from both academia and the industry. Here are some main takeaways
from the conference for me.
IBM is improving me to connection between skills development and digital
credentials to show clear paths of progression and meaningful acknowledgements of
your investment in further knowledge.
I think one should kickstart his career in data science, I ended up enrolling into
IBM’s Design Thinking. There are tons of other courses like Harvard’s course for data
science or John Hopkins program. Just browse Medium for “Data Science Course” and
you will get thousands of articles about which course is the best for what. In the end,
they all tell you the same things: You got to start somewhere and it will not be the last
course you take.
When I started the course, it was consisting out of 9 different modules. Something
like two month down the road, a pop up window appeared asking me, if I would like to
upgrade to the updated version of the course.
As a result, I made time to spend one or two hours every day on the course. I did
that by majorly waking up earlier every morning. Sometimes my worked interfered and I
had to break with my schedule but in the end I managed to complete all modules.
