INTRODUCTION

Hi and greeting all. Today Im taking this video is to making a reflection vlog as my journey throughout this course call as
English development and engagement (UHB12902). So before I start to recording this vlog, let me introduce myself first.
My name is Yong Yin Yin and my matic number is AP220445, the first year student undergraduate bachelor degree of
technology management and business (construction) which also called as BPC in University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia.
Firstly, I will like introduce you about the English development and engagement course. This course are focused on true
language skills, which included writing and speaking. On week one of the lecture, we are given the tasks by our lecturer,
which is we need to form a group of 15 to 20 students to complete the group project. There are 2 tasks that we have to
complete, one of the tasks is we need to edit a documentary and another one is we need to perform a talent show called
on stage performance. For the first task which is edit a documentary, we have choosed Malaysia Street Food as our title.
We have introduced some of the street food that famous in Malaysia and we take the documentary at local night market in
Taman University, Parit Raja, Johor. For the second part, there are some of the choices for our group to choose such as
drama, choral speaking, singing, choir and other. Through our group discussion, we all decide to choose choral speaking as
our on-stage performance and the title for our choral speaking is Our Country Malaysia. The content of our choral speaking
is about Malaysia traditional food, festivals, our forefathers who fought until the last drop of blood. Thru our performance
in choral speaking, we will take you on a journey about the history, traditions and landmarks in Malaysia that make our
country unique.

During the project progressing, we are several discussion thru online meeting by using google meet, group chat and also
face to face meeting to discuss about the responsible of each group member, what we need to do and when we get to
submit and present our tasks.
What I have learned during the both tasks
In this group project, I have learned the important of teamwork, our group is made up of 16 people while the activity is
progressing, we have divided part in task 1 and task 2. All of us are giving corporate to complete our own part. Second, I
also learned that communication skills is important when we get to work together. All of us are giving change to ask
question in group and also giving own ideas. Our group member always work in tolerance and support with each opinion
during our discussion. Hence, our group have done a excellent group project and also build up a strong relationship
between each other.
What personal development I experienced
The personal development that I have experienced in this group project is Im ablility to preparing a formal documentary’s
skrip. This is my first time to prepare a formal skrip so it is something new for me in this group project. Thru this project, I
have successfully produced a skrip with my partner and also my groupmate to complete the whole documentary. Besides, I
also learned that how to perform a choral speaking during this group project. Say it as true, I have not experienced to
perform a choral speaking or any talent show before this. But it was a great experience for me and Im really enjoy the
learning process with new friends.
During the both of tasks, I have increased my skill caused I can enrich myself while completing the tasks. For me, the
process of trying something new is challenge but fun.
Challenging experience and solutions
One of our group challenge is time matching. This is because of each of the member in group are came from different
course so sometime it is difficult to us to meet together and doing discussion caused there are emergency case happen
such as online class, test or quiz. Hence, not all the group members can join in every meeting since they have class at that
time. The other challenge of me is remember all the word during choral speaking. Since this is my first time joining choral
speaking, so it is very difficult for me to memorize all the word in choral speaking. This is because there are lack of times to
us to prepare ourself since we have another assignment and test at that time but we have still performance well in our on-
stage performance.
Conclusion
In short, this project have gave me a lot of variable lesson and knowledge so I fell appreciate for giving me change to
participate in this group project. I would like to thanks to my groupmates for giving respondent belong this group project.
