A stolen bike

It was a day like any other, I rode my bike home. When I arrived, I left it at the gate and went inside
for a few seconds “I will be back soon”, I thought. I came back as soon as I noticed that the bike has
been stolen.
“Oh no!”, I shouted “I need to call the police”. I called the police and wrote a statement about the
stolen bike. While the police were investigating, I decided to also do something about it. First of all,
I posted a Facebook post about a lost bike, “maybe someone saw it”. Indeed, my neighbour saw
some kid riding it around town. I quickly informed the police. It turned out that there was an
orphanage nearby. The police questioned the children about the stolen bicycle and one of them
confessed. The kid saw my bike and decided to steal it, ride around and then he throwed it in the
river.
In the end, at first, I was really mad but later on the kid made an apology and I forgave him. It was
a good lesson to me, and now I never leave my stuff without a supervision.
