SPECIAL CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING

July 30, 2023

The meeting was held at the Church Sanctuary with an Opening Prayer by CEN member Carlo
Rafael Fernandez at 11:30 in the morning.

After the reading of the Proposed Agenda, CEN member Carlo Rafael Fernandez
requested to add another Agenda regarding what happened during the Congregational Meeting.
After discussion and division of the house 7/4, another agenda was added to the Proposed
Agenda.

Agenda #5 To discuss what happened during the Congregational Meeting.

Motion #1 It was moved by CYF President Justine Fernandez and seconded by Elder Evelyn
Francisco that the proposed agenda including the Additional Agenda be accepted and
approved.

Agenda #1 Consolidation and Finalization of CSRD Report

Motion #2 It was moved by CYF President Justin Fernandez and seconded by CEN member
Carlo Rafael Fernandez that the Consolidated Final Report of CSRD be accepted.

Discussion

1. Administrative Pastor reminded the Committee that the love gift of LM Miguel Camposano
Jr is not yet given. The Committee replied that the love gift will be given after the approval
of the Plans and Budget. Further, it was noticed that the budgeted love gift of the Lay
Minister is only twenty four thousand for the whole EY 2023-2024. While according to the
approved love gift, it will be increased to Three thousand pesos if there is Bible
Study/Outreach, already. The reply: additional love gift will be taken from CSRD contingency
fund.
2. The CYF President Justin Rene Fernandez suggested that the agenda be submitted prior to
the council meeting while Auditor Eunice Dessa Daoa said that reports should be prepared
and submitted beforehand. Give Email address to Vice Chairperson Eljo Francisco so that
access to the google link will be given.
3. The amount of WMS Thirty one thousand two hundred twenty five pesos and seventy six
centavos (31,225.76)WMS for February to May 2023 and the amount of building fund to be
returned amounting to twenty thousand one hundred sixty seven (php20,167.00) has been
added to the Plans and Budget.

Motion #3 It was moved by Vice Chairperson Eljo Francisco and seconded by Lay Minister
Miguel Camposano Jr that the consolidated and finalized CSRD Report be approved.
Agenda #2 Solicitation Letter

Discussion

1. The Solicitation Letter will be presented to the Congregation on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
2. Solicitation letter will be returned if it is not given to the supposed to be donor/sponsor since it
has a control number.
3. We will not issue an official receipt. Instead, an Acknowledgement letter indicating the amount
received will be indicated.
4. Solicitation letter will be distributed after the presentation to the congregation on Sunday.
5. Vice Chairperson Eljo Francisco will make a Solicitation account on Facebook after presentation
to the Congregation.

Motion #4 It was moved by Elder Evelyn Francisco and seconded by Lay Minister Miguel Camposano
Jr moved that the Solicitation Letter be approved and distributed with control number.

Agenda #3 Policies on Requesting the Minutes of the Meeting

Discussion

All documents are available by request. If the one requesting is a council member, the document can
be given. However, if the one requesting is a church member, document requested will be under the
discretion of the Secretary, Administrative Pastor and Chairperson.

Agenda #4 Savings Account/Passbook to be presented every Regular Church Council Meeting

Motion #5 CEN member Carlo Rafael Fernandez and seconded by Elder Evelyn Francisco moved that
the Treasurer present the xerox copy of the Passbook every Regular Church Council Meeting.

The Secretary suggested that the Treasurer bring the Original copy of the Passbook since it is the first
time that it will be presented to the Church Council.

Agenda #5 To discuss what happened during the Congregational Meeting.

1. Bakit napagusapan na sa Church council ay nakarating pa sa Congregation.

Because the Congregation is the highest body to make a decision and it is our obligation to give
the WMS. Kung hindi sasabihin sa Congregation ay mababaliwala na ang WMS from February
2023-May 2023. And it is a wrong decision not to give the WMS. We must be faithful.

Different opinions:

Feeling betrayed, bakit hindi sinabi sa council meeting, ang problema ay ang sinabi ni Pastor na sya ay
mag re resign kapag hindi ibinigay ang WMS. Mabuti na lamang at marami ang hindi umatend sa
Congregational meeting, nalungkot, nasaktan dapat sinabi na sa council meeting, nagulo, nonsense ang
pinag-uusapan, di makapaniwala na nasabi yon ni Pastor, there is a feeling na puro na lang MNC ang
iniisip, iniiwasan na huwag maulit ang pagkakahati-hati, maaaring hindi naman tungkol sa halaga ng
WMS na hindi na ibibigay sa MNC kundi ang hindi pagsunod na ibigay ang WMS, huwag dalhin sa
Congregation ang napag-usapan na sa council. Ang questionable dito ay ang ating responsibilidad,
anoman ang napag-usapan ay sundin, we are giving our support through WMS, itabi na ang WMS lingo-
lingo at wag galawin, ano ang dapat gawin para di na maulit, walang pera kaya hindi maibigay. Parang na
disregard ang napag-usapan. “Huwag na pahabain pa mag-apologize na si Pastor. Mali na sabihin sa
Congregation. Ang usapin ay ang sinabi ni Pastor, kailangan sabihin ang pagkakamali, tanggapin na
nagkamali. Tama ba ang ginawa ni Pastor? Mauulit paba yon? Yon ba ang tamang gawin?

Pastor

Tama ang aking ginawa. Ang mga dapat gawin na hindi ginawa ay dapat makarating sa kongregasyon at
ito ay hindi na mauulit kung tayo ay magtatapat.

CEN Chairperson Jenilyn Pangilinan ay nagmungkahi na magkaroon ng evaluation kay Pastor at

magkaroon ng meeting ang Council na wala si Pastor.

Motion #6 It was moved by CEN chairperson Jenilyn Pangilinan and seconded by CYF President Justin
Rene Fernandez to have Council meeting regarding what the Administrative Pastor said last Sunday on
the second Sunday of August 2023.

It was suggested that what transpired during the meeting be read by the Secretary. The Secretary
declined and suggested to have a meeting next Sunday. Kung pipilitin na basahin ang minutes ng
meeting the same day ay tanggalin na lang sya bilang secretary. Sinabihan ng Auditor ang sekretarya na
magpaturo kay Jeni dahil sa mga kompanya ay ginagawa yon. Alam naman yon ng sekretarya pero di
naman dati ginagawa sa council.

Motioin #7 It was moved by CEN member Carlo Rafael Fernandez and seconded by Elder Evelyn
Francisco that the meeting be voice recorded.

Motion #8 It was moved by CYF President Justin Rene Fernandez and seconded by Lay Minister Miguel
Camposano Jr, to buy a tape recorder for the Secretary and read the minutes of the meeting after the
church council meeting.

The meeting was adjourned with a closing prayer by the Chairperson Marilyn Palma.
