Saribudolok Village is one of the villages in the Silimakuta sub-district, Simalungun district. The
coordinates of the Saribudolok Village are north latitude: N 2 56.4, south latitude: E 98 37.1.
with a postal code of 21167. The population of Saribudolok Village by age and gender in 2020 is
7861 people. The purpose of our KKN implementation in this Kelurahan is to add to the
experience of students while at the same time sharing the knowledge gained from the Medan
State University in dealing with the current COVID-19 pandemic. Hopefully with this KKN activity
the community will be better in dealing with the current situation and especially it is hoped that
there will be better economic changes for the community. The village village program that has
been going on is the construction of a concrete meeting place on Jl Pasar Lama with a length of
420 m, the construction of a pair trench in the V (five) and VIII (eight) neighborhoods. The
ongoing program is mutual cooperation and also clean Friday specifically for environmental
cleanliness which is guided by Pak Kepling with the residents, and the program that will be
implemented is still waiting for instructions from the District and from the government.
The most prominent potential of Saribudolok Village is in agriculture or plantation with a
percentage level of 45% which is dominant in producing vegetables, there is also rice, corn,
tomatoes, chilies, oranges and bananas. As for other potentials that are owned by Saribudolok
Village or their livelihoods are PNS TNI POLRI with a percentage rate of 15%, services 12%,
retirees, 5% entrepreneurs, 13% and others 10%. The problems faced for the constraints that
we know of so far have not existed, only the problem of prices which sometimes do not match
the expectations of the farmers or it can be said to be a loss if the price drops, and profit if the
price meets the investment model of the employee and has money left over. so for the price
issue it is beyond our control as KKN participants however we are still looking for other ways so
that our KKN activities are also beneficial for the community as for our work program that we will
carry out namely vaccination socialization and cofid19 socialization to schools making pharmacy
living environment cleanliness and etc. which will be implemented starting from July 23, 2021
until August 14, 2021. The method of implementation that we use is observation, interviews and
actions. Based on the work program that we have carried out, the results are in line with our
expectations. We also received positive responses from the community and village heads with a
success percentage rate of 98%. Our advice to the community is to continue the activities that
we have provided and for further researchers we also suggest that Saribudolok Village is a good
place for implementation and we also hope to bring changes in the agricultural sector.
