Project Name: Social Media and Social Awareness as One

Introduction:

Social Media and Social Awareness as One is a project aiming to determine whether
certain students of Tanza National Comprehensive High School (TNCHS) use social
media as a means to educate themselves or simply a place to share entertainment.

● Our main aim is to find out whether or not having a good amount of social media
frequency can be beneficial for the students.
● To verify whether social media really is harmful or not.
● To see if it is worth it exposing the students to the “harmful” social media.
● To see whether students really do receive information through social media.
● To see whether or not these information are correct.

Purpose:

The project's objective determines how a student’s frequency on social media can affect
their perception on societal issues, and whether social media serves as a pleasure
center for them or a new education hub for specific social issues. This also identifies in
what kind of way, as students and teenagers, they would apply their knowledge and use
their expertise to advocate ICT use by raising awareness and practicing social media
caution.

Description:

The project will gather certain information from Grade 11 TNCHS Senior High School
students. The team will then conduct the interview inside the school from November 20
to November 21, 2023, after class hours.

The topic to be included in the interview will be: how the students perceive social media -
the student’s frequency of visits on social media - the student’s awareness on a certain
societal issue - whether or not the students think that that information is correct - why the
student thinks that this information is/is not correct.

The project will also be launched on our website (mindsparkwebstudio.weebly.com).

Support:

The estimated budget needed for the project is ranging from Php85.00 to Php180.00.
This includes the fare, snacks, papers and other related fees.
