water. Initially, the rope forms a 26◦ angle with the water, as shown below. After 30 seconds of pulling
the person in, the length of rope between the person and the dock is now 20ft long.

completes a full rotation every 20 seconds. The center of the turbine is 20 ft above the ground. In this
problem, we track the tip of one of the blades, starting at the 3 o’clock postion and rotating counter
clockwise (in other words, the tip is going up).
