Dear Maám Vasquez,

The Eastern Samar Movement for Authentic Leadership and Good Governance
(ESMAGG) is a dynamic and transformative initiative that has emerged as a beacon of positive
change in the realm of public service. Comprising dedicated public servants and engaged
citizens, ESMAGG stands as a collective force committed to fostering authentic leadership and
promoting good governance practices within the province of Eastern Samar.
Recently there had been Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election. A new set of
Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials have been elected. This is a fresh start to every
community. A new hope of effective governance in the barangay especially for our young leaders
who are elected as Sangguniang Kabataan official.
However, we can’t change the fact on how our election works here in the Philippines. The
rampant vote buying activities. According to the Commission on Elections (Comelec), there are
total of 168 reports of vote-buying so far in the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections
(BSKE).
These are just the reported cases of vote-buying. With this information, the elected
Sangguniang Kabataan may be exposed of such illegal activities during election. The motivation
and performance of our young leaders in their duties as elected officials may be affected for the
reason that they won the election through involving in vote buying activities. Despite of, we have
high hopes that we can still change and motivate our young people through capability building
and skills training.
Our youth leadership program is designed to be a catalyst for personal and collective
growth. Through a blend of interactive workshops, engaging discussions, and hands-on activities,
participants will embark on a journey of self-discovery, leadership mastery, and community
impact. Our goal is not only to impart essential leadership skills but also to nurture a sense of
responsibility, resilience, and empathy among the participants.
With this would like to ask your support to achieve the objects of the program. Together,
let's ignite the flame of leadership and pave the way for a generation of positive change.
