The bar chart compares the amount of houses built per annual in two different cities, Derby and
Nottingham from 2000 to 2009.
From the chart, it is evident to conclude that the total of houses built every year in Derby either
increased or stayed the same. Meanwhile, the figures for Nottingham show greater fluctuations
over the ten-year period.
In 2000, the number of newly built houses in Derby almost approached 50, and steadily rose to
reach around 125 in 2003. The figures remained unchanged for the next four years before
drastically increasing to 275 in 2008 and then continued its upward trend to reach a peak at 350
in 2009.
