In this day and age, newspapers are becoming less general and less vital than before since

people now have up-to-date news on their own digital devices, such as mobile phones and
laptops. From my perspective, I wholly agree with this statement for many reasons.
To begin with, it cannot be denied that reading news on the Internet is much more convenient
than having a newspaper. People can read or watch the news whenever and wherever they want
with just a device, so they can spend time on more crucial things. Furthermore, although
newspapers are printed in the morning, the news is continuously developing over the day and
this is available on your phone where you can follow breaking news stories. Reading on the
Internet also allows people to trace the news they have missed and they can easily find what
they need with just a touch.
What’s more, reading news online is not only convenient but also environmentally friendly.
People almost do not know or even ignore the origin of a newspaper as well as its
manufacturing process. However, with a plethora of newspapers produced every day, many
trees in the forest have to be cut down, which directly undermines the habitat of many creatures
and indirectly causes severe natural disasters. When individuals use their phones to watch or
read news, they have joined hands to protect the environment while also protecting their
personal living environment.
