This document describes an experiment to measure the impedance of a series RLC circuit. The experiment connects a function generator to an RLC circuit and uses an oscilloscope to measure the voltage and current waveforms. From these measurements, the impedance of the circuit is calculated using the formula Z=√(R2+(X L -X C )2), where X L and X C are the inductive and capacitive reactances. References for RLC circuit theory are also provided.
