1. Write short notes on any two of the following :


(a) Marbury v. Madison.
(b) Anti defection law.
(c) Doctrine of prospective overruling.
(d) Constitutionalism.
2. Explain the meaning, nature and importance of constitution. What are the sources of the strain evolved
in the constitutional practices due to recent developments ?
3. Explain the characteristics of Parliamentary form of Govt. Compare Presidential form of Govt. with
Parliamentary form of Govt. in India.
4. Explain meaning, basis and constitutional significance of Judicial Review under the Constitution of
India. What are the limitations on the power of judicial review of the Supreme Court ?
5. Explain the doctrine of collective responsibility under the Constitution of India. Discuss the challenges
for the collective responsibility due to multi-party system in India.
6. Explain nature and scope of doctrine of basic structure to test the validity of Constitutional amendment.
7. Explain the powers of the Election Commission of India under the Constitution of India to conduct
the elections. Whether the Election Commission is subjected to the legislative control of the Parliament
and State legislature ? Give reasons for your answer.
8. Write explanatory notes on :
(a) Right to self determination in pluralistic society.
(b) Doctrine of Ripeness and Mootness.
