Before measuring When measuring
1. Remove any debris on measuring plate with a rag. 1. Place stylus in contact with start point for measuring and zero. (figure 1)
2. Remove any debris on base datum surface. 2. Adjust height until stylus is in contact with next measuring surface. (figure 2)
3. Move slider up/down by rotating the slide feed handle. 3. Digital display now indicates the distance from the original start point.
4. Confirm any excessive play in slider clamp box. 4. Press power OFF switch after completing measurement.
5. Turn power ON.
6. Press the "ZERO" switch.
