If conditional type 0

● Tipe kalimat yang digunakan ketika hasil dari suatu kondisi terwujud atau bisa
disebutkan sebuah kebenaran dan fakta ilmiah
● Rumus : If + Simple Present , Simple present
Contoh :
1. If we burn paper, it will become ash
2. I feel sick if I eat too much
3. If you don’t brush your teeth, you get cavities

If conditional type 1

● Tipe kalimat pengandaian, hasil atau konsekuensinya memiliki kemungkinan di masa

depan
● Rumus : If + simple present, simple future “will”/imperative
Contoh :
1. If I meet him, I will introduce myself.
2. I will cook dinner tonight if you clean the house.
3. If you rest, you will feel better.

If conditional type 2
● Tipe kalimat pengandaian tapi hasik atau konsekuensi hanya memiliki harapan terwujud
tapi kemungkinan kecil (Belum tentu terjadi tapi dapat menjadi kenyatan)
● Rumus : If + Past simple, would/could/might infinitive
Contoh :
1. If I inherited a billion dollars, I would travel to the moon.
2. If I owned a zoo, I might let people interact with the animals more.
3. If I were you, I would continue my study.

If conditional type 3
● Kalimat pengandaian ketika kondisi tidak mungkin terwujud sama sekali (Contoh mimpi
atau imajinasi)
● Rumus : If + Past perfect, would/should/could/might + have + past participle
Contoh :
1. If you had remembered to invite me, I would have attended your party.
2. We might have gone to South America if she had not been pregnant.
3. If you had told me you needed a ride, I would have left earlier.
