URBAN ART AND GRAFFITI

Street art or urban art is a way of expressing art in an informal way, and it’s
used to illustrate different points of the urban environment even in a illegal
way.
Many people think that it was born as a system of expressing feelings and
criticism against something, but it has actually been practiced since the
origins of humanity, when human painted in caves, but with the passage of
time we have acquired another visión of the urban art and there have
appeared another techniques like graffiti.
We call graffiti to the mode of street painting or visual art, usually illegal,
which is generally carried out on large surfaces in urban spaces, and it began
to become fashionable in the 60s in The Bronx in New York. There are many
people who think that graffiti is art because some do it to show their artistic
skills but others think that it is a hooliganism that destroys public spaces and
that people should receive bigger punishments.
Nowadays, there are even places that hire urban artists to paint graffiti on
their facades because it is a quick process and gives a unique and original
result that you will not find anywhere else on the planet.
To sum up, urban art has been practiced throughout life, although in
different ways in each era, and graffiti is beginning to have more relevance,
which can be used in a ilegitimate way, has many other ways that can offer
amazing results.
