International Baptist Convention

The International Baptist Convention is a Baptist Christian

association of English-speaking churches and missions in Africa,
Europe and the Middle East. It is affiliated with the Baptist World Convention

The International Baptist Convention has its roots in the Alliance
Association of Baptists in Continental Europe founded in 1959 by
Immanuel Baptist Church in Wiesbaden and Bethel International Headquarters Frankfurt,
Germany
Baptist Church in Frankfurt, Germany.[1] Beginning in 1961, the
International Mission Board sent a missionary couple to work with Origin 1959
these churches. Some churches from England joined the ABCE in Congregations 63
1964, and the name was changed to the European Baptist
Convention (EBC). The first EBC churches were started to Members 5,429
minister to United States military personnel stationed in Europe. In Official website ibc-churches.org
2003, the name was changed to International Baptist Convention (http://ibc-church
after the body expanded outside Europe. According to a census es.org)
published by the association in 2023, it claimed 5,429 members
and 63 churches. [2]

Beliefs
The convention has a Baptist confession of faith.[3] It is a member of the Baptist World Alliance.[4]
