Heat dissipation calculation of rolling bearing support of 2.

4x10m mill
1. Calculation of heat generated by bearings
The friction damage of the bearing is almost completely transformed into heat inside the
bearing, resulting in an increase in bearing temperature. The calculation formula for the heat
generation of the bearing is as follows:
Q1=1.05x10^(-4)*M*n
Q1--- Heat generated (kW)
M--- friction torque (N.mm);M=0.5*u*P*d
n--- Rotation speed of bearings (r/min)
u--- Friction coefficient of bearings
P--- Load on bearings (N)
Bearing type: self-aligning roller bearing, feed bearing model: NNU1000Y3, discharge
bearing model: NNUP1000Y3
Bearing bearing load: P=70t (input end bearing load of 68t, output end bearing load of 70t,
calculated based on larger load)
Bearing friction coefficient:u=0.002~0.0025
Bearing nominal inner diameter:d=1000mm
Bearing rotation speed:n=21.6r/min
friction torque:M=0.5*u*P*d=0.5*0.0025*70*1000*9.81=858.375N.mm
Heat generation of bearings:Q1=1.05x10^(-4)*M*n=1.05x10^(-4)*858.375*21.6=1.947kw

2. Heat dissipation calculation of bearing seat device

The heat dissipation of the bearing seat is calculated based on the convective heat transfer
between the surface of the cylinder and the air, and the formula is as follows:
lose heat:Q2=a*F*(tb-ta) kJ/h
Surface temperature of bearing seat:tb=70°C (Estimated temperature)
Ambient temperature:ta=30°C(Estimated temperature)
Heat transfer coefficient:a=8.1+0.045*(tb-ta)=8.1+0.045*(70-30)=9.9 kJ/(m2.h.°C)
(Select according to indoor and stationary cylinders)
Surface area of bearing seat:F≈1.375*3.14*0.52+3.14*(1.375^2-1.04^2)/4*2=3.515 m2
Heat loss of bearing seat:Q2=a*F*(tb-ta) =9.9*3.515*(70-30)=1391.94 kJ/h=0.387kW
3. The trunnion carries away heat
The bearing is closely matched with the hollow shaft, and heat is carried out through heat
conduction. According to the heat conduction calculation formula
The heat transmitted by bearings to the hollow shaft:Q3=K*⊿T*S/L
thermal conductivity:K=45W/m .K (钢与钢)
Temperature difference between bearing and trunnion : ⊿ T=70-65=5°C (Estimated
trunnion temperature 65°C)
Contact area between bearing and trunnion: S=1.0*3.14*0.28=0.88 m2
Thickness of the contact area between the bearing and the trunnion:L=0.05m
The heat transferred from the bearing to the trunnion:
Q3=K*⊿T*S/L=45*5*0.88/0.05=3960W=3.96kW
4. Conclusion
From the conservative calculation above, it can be seen that the heat output of the bearing
Q1=1.947kW, while the heat that can be carried away by the bearing seat and trunnion can reach
Q2+Q3=4.347kW. From this calculation, it can be seen that the heat output of the bearing is
much lower than the ability of the bearing seat and trunnion to carry away heat. Therefore, the
bearing does not need to add auxiliary cooling methods to meet the normal operation of the
equipment.
