Science owes its origins to humanity's innate curiosity and desire to make sense of the
world around us. As shown in the video, our thirst for knowledge has driven us to observe and
explore the intricacies of the universe, beginning with early civilizations that made fire by
rubbing together stones and rapidly drilling wood. We began to decipher the underlying laws
governing the physical world by carefully observing nature's patterns and phenomena.
However, the same scientific knowledge and technologies that man has used to propel us
forward have also been used againts us. As stated in the video, I learned that the power of
scientific discovery, when used to create weapons of mass destruction, poses grave threats to
humanity. The atomic bomb is a stark reminder of how science can be used to unleash

progress. It reflects humanity's natural curiosity and desire to explore and comprehend the
world. However, great power comes with great responsibility, and it is critical that we use
caution and ethical judgment in harnessing the fruits of scientific progress. As custodians of
this knowledge, we must ensure that science remains a force for good rather than destruction in
our daily lives.
