Task 2.2: Presenting your research findings
YOUR TASK:

Goal – To present your findings following research into a population shift in one or two chosen countries.
Role – You are a demographer at the United Nations.
Audience – Other researchers and policymakers at the UN.
Situation – The UN is creating new programs to help countries understand population shifts.
Product – PowerPoint, Canva, or Keynote presentation file showing your research findings (required
sections listed below).

What you need to do:


Complete a presentation file containing the following pages:

1. A title page containing your research question, reasons for choosing the question, a possible
hypothesis, and your research methodology.
2. An analysis of chosen data showing your understanding of the country’s situation.
3. An analysis of chosen data showing your understanding of the country’s situation.

5. Conclusions on the research question. You must justify your conclusions with evidence. Possible
guiding questions for your conclusions are:
a. To what extent did the factors cause the population shift?

c. How does the shift match demographic transition trends (if at all)?
d. Could the shift be reversed?
e. Could the shift happen again?
f. How does the shift compare to trends in similar countries?
