OBJECTIVES:

 To dissect the key components of a belt conveyor system, including the conveyor
belt, sprockets, dynamo as the main motor and supports. Understanding the
function of each component is essential to grasp the overall mechanism.
 To delve into the operational principles that govern belt conveyors, including
tensioning, tracking, loading, and unloading mechanisms.
 To assess the performance of the belt conveyor under different conditions, such
as varying the loads and speeds. Analyzing how these factors impact conveyor
efficiency.

INTRODUCTION

Transporting materials horizontally, vertically, or up inclines is possible with the

help of belt conveyors, which are made up of a continuous loop of conveyor belts that
are driven by either pulleys or sprockets. They have developed over time to meet the
various demands of industries, and they now play a crucial part in streamlining
production processes, lowering the need for manual labor, and improving overall
efficiency.

As a student of industrial engineering, it is crucial for us to model a mini-belt conveyor

machine in order to get a feel for the system and learn how to use it most effectively.

We constructed the device out of leftover components (scrap) and a walking toy's
dissected dynamo. And through a great deal of trial and error, we were able to
understand how it functions internally and effectively.
