PRODUCTION TRIAL OF PPGL COIL WITH NO ACID
Title PRE-TREATMENT Date: February 3, 2023

I. Objective:
To determine and evaluate the quality of a pre-painted galvalume coil (PPGL) without
undergoing acid pre-treatment.

Visually acceptable, no defects visually found

After processing and evaluation of the coil, the PPGL without acid treatment exhibits the same
standard properties and result. The sample passed all the testing and no defects found.

TILE PROFILE

During roll forming testing the panel shows a good quality and no paint peel off. No other visible
defects found.

III. Conclusion and Recommendations

Upon initial trial run we therefore concluded that the used Hydrochloric acid (HCl) as used in
cleaning and surface treatment of the pre-painted galvalume coil has no significance. The coil exhibits

the same standard properties and no visible defects found. The trial coil can also be used by roll
forming.
For this reason, we recommend the non-usage of acid treatment on the coil coating process on
the next runs of the color coating line but we will also subject the trial coil in our accelerated
weathering test for additional evaluation and closely monitor the produced coil. The remaining
chemicals will be use in the wastewater treatment.
